How to use OKdokument
Documents are signed directly on the screen of your touch device. It is recommended that you and a person you request the signature from use stylus. With this accessory maximum signature security will be ensured.
However, not everybody owns a stylus. Therefore, when requesting a signature we recommend verifying the signer via SMS code.
Click anywhere in the document and sign using stylus or anything else that the touch screen can react to.
You can use your finger or a mouse.You can download or share the signed document with others.
Enter the e-mail address of one or more recipients. After clicking on the link in the received e-mail message your client or business partner can sign a document without having an OKdokument account.
Check “SMS verification” next to the e-mail address and enter the recipients mobile number. You client or business partner will be able to display the document only after entering the SMS code.

Hand-written electronic signature is a signature created on touch screen devices (tablets or mobile phones) using stylus.
Yes.
Pursuant to the eIDAS Regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions, all the electronic documents signed by hand-written electronic signatures are legally binding in the European union countries. Under local legislation, however, certain types of contracts can constitute an exception.

The document is secured and protected by the uniqueness of your signature and other data. Signature data is securely saved in the signed document in a way they can not be changed, modified, or copied.
Legal questions
Under the European legislation, there is none.
Pursuant to the eIDAS Regulation of the EU, an electronic signature in the European union shall have the equivalent legal effect of a signature written by a pen on paper. Provisions of the eIDAS Regulation shall apply to the territory of the Slovak republic as well.
Analysis of the OKdokument signature before the court is equivalent to that of a signature written on paper.
OKdokument team in cooperation with expert handwriting witnesses from police departments in several EU countries have developed a tool for electronic signature examination.
Each of them serves a different purpose.
Hand-written electronic signature is ideal for signing of contracts between natural and legal persons, or for internal approval processes.
Qualified electronic signature (identity card with a reader) is primarily used in communications with public authorities and is more similar to notarially certified signature.

Yes.
Each signature in the document is secured by asynchronous encryption. A private key and a password are needed to decrypt it. More information can be found in our Privacy Policy.
No.
Documents are signed under the globally recognised standard PAdES (PDF Advanced Electronic Signature). After each signature, the PDF document is automatically sealed. That means that for each signature there is a version of the document valid at the time of signing. If somebody modifies the data in the document through manual intervention, the user will be warned by the PDF viewer itself (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).

To achieve the highest level of comfort when signing documents we recommend using touch screen devices (tablets or mobile phones) with an appropriate electronic pen (Stylus, i-pen, Bamboo, ThinkPad pen etc.).
Yes.
Send a message to okdokument@okdokument.com with the subject Request for cancellation of a user account. For the purposes of identity verification, sender's e-mail address must match the registered e-mail address. When the verification is complete, the user account and all the associated documents will be deleted.
